The challenge

A marine research lab handling large volumes of data from many sources — with no shared structure. Finding the right dataset ate into research time, and reuse depended on who remembered where things were.

What we built

We helped them design and implement a Data Management Plan: a clear structure for projects and campaigns, consistent metadata and access rules along FAIR principles, plus migration to proper storage — validated on real projects.

The outcome

Organised, searchable data — the lab spends its time on analysis instead of hunting for files, with a structure that keeps scaling as new data arrives.
